New Arrivals at Harker Heights Pet Adoption Center

A Trio of Adorable Kittens

Three tiny kittens, found huddled together under a bush near the city park, have arrived at the Harker Heights Pet Adoption Center. Two are sleek black, one a fluffy calico, all with bright, curious eyes. They’re still quite young, needing plenty of bottle feedings and lots of cuddles. These little ones are incredibly playful, tumbling over each other and batting at dangling toys with surprising energy. They are available for adoption as a group or, if suitable homes can be found, individually.

Majestic Max, the Gentle Giant

Max, a three-year-old Great Dane, towers over the other residents of the shelter, his gentle nature a stark contrast to his imposing size. He was surrendered by his previous owner due to a change in living circumstances, and he’s clearly feeling the adjustment. Max loves walks, especially if they involve sniffing every blade of grass and tree trunk along the way. He’s very well-behaved and eager to please, showing a remarkable patience with the smaller, more rambunctious animals. He’s a loyal companion looking for a loving home with plenty of space to stretch his long legs.

Luna, the Playful Puppy

Luna, a spirited Jack Russell Terrier mix, is a whirlwind of energy. This one-year-old pup arrived just last week, full of boundless enthusiasm. She loves playing fetch, going for runs, and generally causing a delightful amount of playful chaos. She’s incredibly smart and quick to learn new tricks, making her a joy to train. While she’s still learning some manners, her eagerness to please makes her a perfect candidate for an experienced dog owner who can dedicate time to her training and socialization.

Senior Sweetheart, Charlie

Charlie, a ten-year-old domestic shorthair, is a gentle soul seeking a quiet retirement home. This charming cat enjoys leisurely naps in sunbeams, gentle petting, and the occasional game of chase with a feather wand. He’s a bit shy at first, but once he warms up to you, he’s a purring machine. He’s a low-maintenance companion, perfect for someone looking for a calm and affectionate friend who doesn’t demand constant attention. He’s already neutered and up-to-date on all his vaccinations.

The Shy Siblings, Pip and Squeak

Pip and Squeak, a bonded pair of adult rabbits, are looking for a forever home together. These sweet bunnies are a little shy around new people, but they’re incredibly affectionate with each other. They love exploring their environment, munching on hay, and receiving gentle strokes. They require a spacious enclosure, plenty of hay and fresh vegetables, and a patient owner willing to let them come out of their shells at their own pace. They’re a wonderful pair, and their quiet companionship is sure to bring joy to the right home.

Meet Oliver, the Curious Bird

Oliver, a vibrant green budgie, is a recent arrival at the shelter. He’s a curious and playful little bird who enjoys singing and interacting with his human companions. He requires a spacious cage, plenty of toys, fresh water, and a balanced diet.
